Fighting fires, responding to emergencies, and teaching fire prevention is a costly venture. In order for the residents of the Town of Ontario to continue receiving these invaluable services, the volunteer members of the Ontario Fire Company are appealing for your help in our Annual Fund Drive. We are entering our 103rd year of service to our neighbors and friends of Ontario – a service which is a 24 hour-a-day commitment.
These volunteers ask for no compensation for the hours spent away from their homes and families or jobs and business while helping their neighbors. They are trained and willing to provide assistance, often at considerable risk to their own safety, when needed. All they ask for in return is the support of their community.
Last year the Ontario Fire Company lost two members, Sam Greco and Lacy Harris. Both men will be greatly missed. Sam will be missed for his willingness to help in any way. Lacy was instrumental in training hundreds of firemen, both in Ontario and all of Wayne Count.
Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Chris Breed - Chief
